✦ Our Story

Crafted with
Soul & Purpose

We're a small team of woodworkers, designers, and dreamers who believe the objects you surround yourself with matter deeply.

Built on Four
Unbreakable Beliefs

01

Craft Over Speed

We refuse to rush. Every CozyNest piece takes between 6–12 weeks to produce. That's not a limitation — it's a love letter to quality. Good things take time, and the homes we help build deserve nothing less.

02

Sustainability First

Every plank we source carries a Forest Stewardship Council certification. We work with regional sawmills, use low-VOC finishes, and offset our delivery footprint through reforestation partnerships in the Scottish Highlands.

03

Designed to Last Lifetimes

We design against obsolescence. Our joinery techniques are rooted in centuries-old woodworking traditions — mortise and tenon, hand-cut dovetails — so your furniture is still beautiful for your grandchildren.

04

Homes Are Personal

No catalogue browsing. Every client gets a design session where we listen before we sketch. We want to understand your morning routine, your light, your pets, your memories. Your home is yours — not ours.

🪵

A Workshop, a Lathe,
and a Stubborn Idea

CozyNest began in 2011 in a rented workshop in Chipping Norton. Founder Elara Quinn, a furniture conservator by trade, grew frustrated with flat-pack furniture that seemed designed to be replaced rather than cherished.

She began building pieces for friends. Word spread. By 2014, there was a waiting list. By 2017, a team of seven. Today we're a studio of 34 craftspeople, designers, and logistics specialists — but the workshop in Chipping Norton still exists, still hums, still matters.

We haven't grown to be bigger. We've grown to be better — at listening, at crafting, at delivering a piece of a home that feels unmistakably alive.
